Finding your secondary energy type

dyt_four_typesIf you’ve been through the Dress Your Truth section of my beauty and style blog, you’ve hopefully been excited about how knowing your type helps you find your perfect style and you’ve determined what your primary energy type is. (If you’re still unsure, let’s talk; I’ll be glad to help!) But did you know that most of us also have a secondary energy type?

Maybe you read Carol’s book or watched the videos and found you identify with two different types. Perhaps you had a hard time deciding on your energy type because more than one appealed to you. We all have a primary or dominant energy type, but most of us also have a secondary or lesser energy type that enriches and refines our personal style.

Our bright and animated Type 1s can have a secondary 2, 3 or 4. You will see these expressed online in the DYT world as 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4. A Type 1/2 (left) will have a softer, feminine touch with florals or ruffles. A Type 1/3 (middle) will have an edgier, textured feel with textured materials and fringe. A Type 1/4 (right) will have a simpler, more classic style with bright solids and stripes.

The subtle and soft Type 2 woman can have a secondary 1, 3 or 4. You will see these expressed online in the DYT world as 2/1, 2/3 or 2/4. A Type 2/1 (left) will have some bright and sparkly touches to her softness. A Type 2/3 (middle) will have an edgier, textured feel with patterns. A Type 2/4 (right) will have a simpler, classic look.

The rich and dynamic Type 3s can have a secondary 1, 2 or 4. You will see this expressed online in the DYT world as 3/1, 3/2 or 3/4. A Type 3/1 (left) will have a little more feminine and fun look without being too girly. A Type 3/2 (middle) will have more softness and flow. A Type 3/4 (right) will temper the edginess with classic style.

The bold and striking Type 4s can have a secondary 1, 2 or 3. You will see this expressed online in the DYT world as 4/1, 4/2 or 4/3. A Type 4/1 (left) will loosen up a bit with light-hearted or girly touches. A Type 4/2 (center) will have a little softer, feminine look. A Type 4/3 (right) will have more texture and diagonal movement.
