self_portrait“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”

That’s a hard lesson for most of us to learn. I spent many years trying to change all of the things that make me who I am. I wanted straight, blonde hair and blue eyes. I wanted golden skin, prettier features, a perfect body. One of the amazing things about getting older is learning to accept your individual beauty, learning how to accentuate your best assets, learning to set your own style, to express yourself.

I’m a designer, so I understand how design principles work: color theory, proportion, balance. These same principles work for personal style and beauty, just as they work for magazine layouts or home decor. This site will guide you to find your best colors, the shapes and proportions that work best for you, and the style that fits your personality. Put them all together and you’re going to look good and feel great.
